Stó:lō Service Agency (SSA) is excited to invite applications for a skilled and dedicated Technical Support Specialist to join its team in Chilliwack, BC. SSA is a vital organization that supports the Stó:lō communities by providing arrange of essential services and programs. They’re looking for an IT professional who is passionate about technology and eager to impact their organization positively.



The Role:

  • Oversee IT infrastructure maintenance and enhancement, including LAN/WAN networks, hardware, and software systems across multiple offices.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for network and system issues, delivering excellent support for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect data integrity and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate on various IT projects, contributing to planning, implementation, and documentation of technology rollouts.
  • Deliver training and support on software applications and systems to ensure efficient technology use across the organization.
  • Assist in user account management within a hybrid Windows Server and Microsoft 365 cloud environment.
  • Configure and maintain network hardware such as switches, wireless access points, and routers.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years post-secondary training in a related technology field; a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in troubleshooting and technical support roles with demonstrated experience in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and network configurations.
  • Proficiency in server management, IT security protocols, and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, including familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)standards.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills for problem-solving, incident management, and change management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License, proof of COVID-19 vaccination, and successful Criminal Records Check.


Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent position

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package provided (subject to a 3-monthprobationary period)

Location: Stó:lō Nation offices in Chilliwack, BC
